Polyurethane Foam

Rigid and Structural Foams

Rigid and structural foams are used in a variety of applications including insulation, cast-in-place foaming, gap filling, molded foam products, structural sport, floatation, packaging, impact mitigation, and many other applications. Rigid and structural foams are mostly closed cell foams.

MPA-M02A : 2.3 LBS/Ft3 Density Light Structural Foam

MPA-M02A is an open-cell light-duty structural foam casting system. This foam formulation is made to service applications where light density foam with some structural supporting and impact mitigation properties are needed. The cured foam has some load bearing capacity as well as some flexibility. This set of properties avoids cracking from impact forces. The foam flexes and then comes back to the original shape. Because of the flexibility, machining on this foam creates much less amount of fine dusts/particles. The mixing ratio is 1: 1 by volume. The viscosity range is reasonably low at room temperature. This will allow use of low-cost fixed-ratio dispensing equipment for cast-in-place foam application.

MPP-R04B : 4 LBS/ft3 Density Structural Foam
Reduced Saw-Dusts When Machined
Impact Resistant, Crack/Chip Resistant

This foam polyurethane formulation is designed yield structural foam by either hand-mixing or machine casting method. The pot-life of this material is long enough to allow manual handling for cast-in-place application. It can also be used in molding short-run parts, mold-backing, and many other custom applications. The components are liquid at room temperature. The free-rise density of the foam is approximately 3.5 to 4.5 pounds-per-cubic-foot, the cell structure is more than 95% closed-cell.

MPP-R07B : 7 LBS/ft3 Density Structural Foam
with gooD Load Bearing, Impact Resistant, and Crack/Chip Resistant properties

This foam polyurethane formulation is designed yield structural foam by either hand-mixing or machine casting method. The pot-life of this material is long enough to allow manual handling for cast-in-place application. It can also be used in molding short-run parts, mold-backing, and many other custom applications. The components are liquid at room temperature. The free-rise density of the foam is approximately 6.1 to 6.5 pounds-per-cubic-foot, the cell structure is more than 95% closed-cell.

MPP-M09D : 9 LBS/ft3 Density Slow-Curing Structural Foam for
Cast-In-Place, Gap Filling, Compounding with Fillers
Long Pot Life, Indoor and Outdoor Applications

This foam polyurethane formulation is designed yield structural foam by either hand-mixing or machine casting method. The pot-life of this material is set longer than ordinary rigid foam formulations to allow enough handling time in a hand-mixing operation. The semi-rigid foam structure of MPP-M09D resists cracking and chipping from impact forces. This combination of features makes MPP-M09D ideal for cast-in-place foam application, molding compound for short-run parts, gap filling, insulation, and many other custom applications. The free-rise density of the foam is 9 pounds-per-cubic-foot, the cell structure is closed-cell.
