ROOM TEMPERATURE CURE POLYURETHANE CASTING SYSTEMS ARE EASIER TO PROCESS. OFTEN, THE MATERIALS CAN BE PROCESSED MANUALLY WITHOUT SPECIAL DISPENSING EQUIPMENT. LOW COST DISPENSERS AND MOLDS CAN ALSO BE USED IN MANY CASES. THE MATERIALS IN THIS CLASS ARE USED IN MANY DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS INCLUDING MOLD-MAKING APPLICATIONS FOR CONCRETE PRODUCTS, ELECTRONIC POTTING, PROTOTYPING, AND MANY OTHER CUSTOM APPLICATIONS.

MPP-A15C: 15A Durometer hardness high-elongation with long pot life for gaskets, mold-making, roller covers, and many other applications



MPP-A15C is a room temperature cure polyurethane casting resin system with a long pot life, which enables easy manual processing at room temperature to make large parts without using an inline dispensing machine. The elongation value of cured material is over 1000% (stretches over 10 times of original shape). Once it cures, it is a hydrophobic material, and it is expected to hold well for wet and humid environments. Possible applications include specialty gaskets, roller cover, mold-making for concrete parts, and many other custom applications.

MPP-A25E is room temperature curable polyurethane casting resin system formulated to meet typical requirements for concrete mold making application. The mixing ratio is set to be 1:2 by volume for simple manual metering. Relatively, low viscosity values of the component materials help copying the fine mold surface resolution. The long pot-life and gradual curing pattern gives more working-time/ open-time for a manual mixing/casting operation.

MPP-A80E is one of our general purpose room-temperature-cure liquid casting polyurethane systems. This etherbase polyurethane system is used in applications such as mold-making, prototyping, production of cast parts, potting, tool-making, and many other applications. MPP-A80E is designed for an easy operation for industrial applications without special casting or heating equipment. The mixing ratio between part-A (MPN-023) and part-B (PBA-031) is 2: 3 (or 1.0: 1.5) by volume. Its low viscosity also makes it easy to achieve replicating the details of the mold/original with a fine resolution.

MPS-A80C: hybrid (ester/ether) system to make oil resistant parts with better physical properties processed at room temperature



MPS-A80C is an ester/ether hybrid system. It consists of both polyether and polyester based polyols, which enhances the oil resistant property of the molded parts. The overall physical strengths of cured parts are better than the polyether-based counterpart. MPS-A80C offers middle-range physical property values as well as oil resistant property close to hig-performance ester systems at easier processing parameters of room-temperature cure systems

MPP-A85C is one of the MDI/polyether based polyurethane formulations supplied by Northstar Polymers for general molding purposes. The component materials are low viscosity liquid at room temperature allowing to process without heating the component materials. The low viscosity of components helps easy mixing and pouring. The completely cured parts made of this material exhibit good tensile, elongation, and tear resistance properties and comparing to other commonly available MDI/polyether room-temperature-cure urethane systems.

MPP-A90A is designed for an easy operation for industrial applications without special casting or heating equipment. The mixing ratio between part-A (MPN-023) and part-B (PPA-019) is 1:1 by volume. Its low viscosity also makes it easy to achieve replicating the details of the mold/original with a fine resolution.



MPP-A95C : 95 A Duromete hardness General Purpose

MPP-A95C is one of the MDI/polyether based polyurethane formulations supplied for general molding purpose. The component materials are liquid at room temperature allowing to process without heating the component materials. The low viscosity of components helps easy mixing and pouring. The completely cured parts made of this material exhibit good tensile, elongation, and tear resistance properties and comparing to other commonly available MDI/polyether room-temperature-cure urethane systems.



MPP-D45B : 45 D Durometer hardness general purpose

MPP-D45B is polyether based polyurethane casting resin formulation for a variety of custom applications. The cured material has a good physical strength for this class of material with hardness of 95A to 45D Durometer for a good load bearing capacity with flexibility. The component materials are liquid at room temperature and can be processed without use of auxiliary heating in low-cost molds. Relatively low viscosity of raw material components allows easy mix and good mold resolution. This set of properties makes MPP-D45B an excellent choice for making aftermarket bushings, impact pads, prototyping, short-run productions, and many other applications.



MPP-D73C : 70 - 75 D durometer hardness

MPP-D73C is formulated to meet requirements of molding custom parts by either manual hand-mixing/casting or by meter mixing dispensers. The cured material is rigid enough for some load bearing parts, yet it has some flexibility to resist cracking from impact force. All process can be done at room temperature. The low viscosity components make it easy to mix, degas, and cast. The reasonably long pot-life and quick demolding time contributes to higher production rate with easier casting process. The mixing ratio is easy 1:2 by volume, which is convenient metering.



MPP-D70D : 70D Durometer Hardness fast curing molding resin
with Good load-bearing, good cut-tear resistance properties



MPP-D70D is specially made to meet fast production rate. The fast demolding time enables a very fast mold cycle time. The demolding time is approximately 5 minutes. The cured polyurethane polymer of MPP-D70D is highly cross-linked, and has a good load bearing property as well as cut-and-tear resistance property.



MPP-D80D : 80 - 85 D Durometer hardness low viscosity

MPP-D80D is one of our polyurethane casting systems designed to make smaller quantity of plastic-like parts for prototyping and in-house tooling. Both part-A and part-B components are liquid at room temperature the relatively long pot-life of the system enables the user to process easily. The cured part has mechanical property that is rigid with some flexibility. The combination of the hardness and flexibility makes durable parts that are hard but resist breaking by flexing to absorb impact force.
